Samskrita Bharati offers residential learning - the next best thing to a gurukula. Residential learning offers a unique opportunity to be fully immersed in Samskritam for a length of time. This enables day-to-day activities and conversations to be conducted in Samskritam - morning to night, day in and day out. In IndiaAksharam, in Bangalore, offers regular published courses for students willing to dedicate a length of time towards Samskritam learning and living. The International Gateway in New Delhi is tailored to fit students who are not familiar with any Indian Language. In the USAnnually, to cater to the growing demand for Samskritam activities, Samskrita Bharati offers residential camps - aavaasiiya shibirams. There are 2 types of shibirams - yuva (youth), and kuTumba (family) camps. They are held in both coasts. These camps are set in environments that are conducive for learning. shraddhaa (June 22nd to June 28th) and prajnaa (July 9th to July 13th) are the east and west coast yuva shibirams respectively, where the youth get introduced to the language, script, and basic grammar in a fun-filled atmosphere. Jaahnavii (Labor day weekend) and narmadaa (May 23rd to May 26th) are the east and west coast kuTumba shibirams, where the attendence from grand-parents to grand-children. |
